Description
This is a student project by Roya Seyedsadry for ARCH 844 in Autumn 2010.
This project was designed as an addition to the Wexner Center for the Arts. The program includes an auditorium, office space, studios and lodging for visiting artists and Gallery Space. In order to transform horizontal organization of Wexner to Vertical tower, at the same time keeping the connection between the floors and different programs bobbles is employed to generate a system of voids and solids, voids for vertical connections and solids for allowing specific functions. Exterior uses translucent facade allowing the effect of bobbles in the interior to create special effect for the exterior.
This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present. The effort to preserve and digitize drawings in the Student Archives was sponsored in part by the Graham Foundation.
