Description
The Temple of Ares dates to the 5th century BCE, it was built of marble and of the Doric order. It is similar in date, size and style to the Hephaistion. It is believed to originally be from Attica, and was dismantled piece by piece and re-erected in the the Agora in the early Roman period near the center of the old open square in the late 1st Century BCE. The Archivision Collection of Ancient Sites was funded by the Jack Martin Balcer Library Endowment.
