Description
The Stockmann Building, located on the corner of Keskuskatu and Aleksanterinkatu streets in Helsinki, was built in 1926 and designed by Sigurd Frosterus as a department store. Stockmann is a Finnish retail trading company, which was established in 1862. This image was taken in 1996 by John Schooley, FAIA, during an architectural tour of Finland.
