This is a student project by Miles Suer from Autumn 2010.
"A Space Elevator is a proposed structure designed to transport material from a celestial body's surface into space. Many variants have been proposed, all of which involve a climber traveling along a fixed cable instead of using a rocket-powered space launch. This cable, then would be anchored on the planetary surface with a 'Space Elevator Station' used as a platform for loading/unloading materials."
