Description
The Shaw Center for the Arts building houses a museum of art, restaurant, and two theaters, while a renovated historic structure contains studio art spaces, offices, and classrooms. The project was a collaboration with Louisiana State University, state and city governments, and local arts organizations. It is located on the banks of the Mississippi River. This project won the 2005 AIA Gulf States Honor Award and the 2006 AIA New Orleans Honor Award.Style/Period
