The Science Center School constructed as part of Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California, creates a new school focused on the sciences and also a science education resource center. The existing 1912 armory was completely renovated and given a new roof, and a new two-story steel-framed structure for classrooms was built on the armory's north side. The new two-story building incorporates a grass roof and luxurious planting along the street side of the building.
