Description
The current Capitol building was designed by Francis Keally with the New York firm of Trowbridge & Livingston in 1938. This is the fourth newest Capitol in the United States. High atop the Oregon Capitol, the Golden Pioneer statue has stood since 1938. The gilded statue stands nearly 22' in height, upon a marble base 23' feet tall.
