This terrace adjoins a private residence in St. James Tower in Philadelphia. The tower itself was designed by Soloman Cordell Buenz & Associates and the terrace was designed by the Olin Partnership. The terrace is viewed as an exterior expansion of the interior living space and incorporates Asian-influenced designs that are both modern and minimal. The concept is enhanced by the use of materials such as Black Virginia mist granite, oiled teak wood, stainless steel, bronze, green glass, and glazed concrete.
