Description

Raney Commons, named in honor of 2nd Lt. Alice R. Raney, is located at 47 Curl Drive. It is shown here as Herrick Archives Building Number 269. It has also been known as East or Northeast Dining Facility. Plans and related documents were prepared by W.E. Linch, University Architect, and the general contractor was Garwick & Ross, Inc. The building opened for service in January 1967. From its opening, this building has been used as a coeducational dining and study hall facility.
