The Qingpu Thumb Island is a community center designed by architect Qingyun Ma and his firm, MADA s.p.a.m. (strategy, planning, architecture, media).
It is characterized by the undulating roofs of the two buildings that make up the complex. The structure essentially resembles two rolling hills which float on a man-made lake. The ground surface seamlessly undulates to become a roof, which holds a public park.
