Description
"Protective housing for the remains of the foundations of two Roman buildings, and a third building of which only a corner is visible. The new protective casing for the archaeological finds was conceived as a kind of abstract reconstruction of the Roman volumes: a lightweight framework of walls made of timber lamella which admit light and air exactly follows the Roman outer walls, thus producing a package-like effect which give a visible form to the location of the Roman buildings......" ---Peter Zumthor. (1998, February, Extra Edition). A+U = Kenchiku to toshi, p.28 Keywords: Switzerland, Graubunden, ruins, exhibitions and exhibition structures, views. Submitted by Dan Carney
