Description
This structure is made of a concrete core, enveloped by an asymmetrical skin of perforated steel plates. The roof planes are tilted; in conjunction with the general asymmetry this emphasizes the 'un-architectural', object-like character of the inaccesible service structures. Rather than real, lived-in buildings, these structures function as urban signposts for the tunnel entrances. Keywords: Netherlands, North Holland, Amsterdam, transportation spaces, structures. Submitted by Kay Bea Jones for ARCH 698.
