Description
When rebuilding the church, Plecnik kept part of the original footprint, effectively dividing the church into two unequal pieces. The church is unusual, with an off-centered tower and with an asymmetrical secondary tower. The secondary tower is much smaller than the first and is an extention of the first tower's exterior wall. In the interior, the church's ceiling displays local ceramic plates, ranging from the 1920s through the 1930s, laid in section panels separated by wood beams. This view is from the entrance walk towards the asymmetrical towers. Dates listed (above) are dates for the redesign of the church, not dates for the original church. Keywords: Slovenia, ceremonial and/or religious structures. Submitted by Bradford P. Collett.
