Located at 59 Spruce Street, the North Market has served most importantly as a meeting place throughout it's history. It is led by the North Market Development Authority (NMDA), a non-for-profit group established to "preserve and promote the traditional and cultural aspects of the historic North Market" in the middle of 1980s. The market has been home to local butchers, bakers, fishmongers, greengrocers and farmers (information from http://www.northmarket.com).
The North Market belongs to the Columbus Historic Preservation Area.
