Description
Kastrup Sobad is a bathing area built in the sea 100 meters away form the shore and one meter above sea level. The goal was to accommodate the program, which included changing rooms, sunbathing areas, and bathing facilities, in a simple, dynamic design that complements the beach and wide expanse of the sea. The circular design offers wind protection for the wooden deck. Azobe timber was chosen due to the material's durability and strength in salt water --it is not attacked by shipworms and has the same lifetime as steel.
