Description
The James R. Thompson Center, formerly the State of Illinois Building, is a multi-use center. It offers leasable space, entertainment space, conference spaces, an art gallery, and is among other things currently a DMV. Its noticeable features include a large atrium space in the center of the building and exposed circulation and construction elements. There are artisan shops and an art gallery, three floors of restaurants and shops, and thirteen floors of open balconies surrounding the rotunda.
