Description
"As it exists today, the house is a blend of Wright's Prairie (on the exterior) and Usonian (on the interior) styles. William Drummond-who had built his own home next door to Isabel's on land purchased from Mary Roberts-was commissioned in 1927 to reface the house with brick and replace the wooden sills with cast concrete. He also created a new front entrance and guest closet. In 1955 Wright replaced Drummond's front entrance with a more secluded side entrance. Other changes included converting two small bedrooms into a larger master bedroom, resurfacing the roof with copper, and enclosing and winterizing the side porch" --Cannon, P. F. (2006).
