Description
Designed by Edwin May, the Capitol building is a classical Renaissance Revival style. It is cruciform in plan with a central domed rotunda. The legislative chambers were placed on either side of the rotunda. The building housed the Supreme Court chamber and the State Library. Architectural details were classical motifs of the Neo-Greco style.
