Description
Heroes' Square is formed by the memorial along one side, museums on two sides and main road on the fourth (facing the memorial). The road encircles the square, but the square for pedestrian use only. The 36 meter tall column is topped by the Archangel Gabriel. In front of the column is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier which is very low in height and encircled by fencing. The statuary shows Hungary's past leaders and national heroes. This view is on axis with the memorial, with museums (out of picture) on either side.
