The Elbuferpromenade, which connects the Elbe river and city, is approximately four kilometers in length. It begins at the northern cornerstone of the former city (the Lukasturm) and ends at the monastery mountain garden (Gruson greenhouses). From the promenade, pedestrians have many views of the Elbe and the city of Magdeburg.
