Description
Located at 207 West Hastings Street, the Dominion Trust building was the tallest building in Canada until the Sun Tower was built in 1912. It was the city's first steel-framed tower, which has a 3-story mansard roof. The floor plan is actually circular, centered around a central elevator shaft, as opposed to L-shaped which was more common for early skyscrapers of this size. The building borders Victory Square (on the left of the image) between downtown and Gastown. Architect: J.S. Helyer and Son Keywords: Canada, British Columbia, Vancouver, multistory buildings, high-rise buildings, exterior view. Submitted by Misun Hur.
