Description
Dam Square is used for special events and open air markets. The Royal Palace, the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church), Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, De Bijenkorf (a department store), all face the square. In the center of the Dam Square is a monument to Holland's World War II dead. This is a sketch by Dan carney, student in the Knowlton School of Architecture's Master of Architecture program. Students in the 2004 Study Abroad program through the School sketched various architectural works throughout Europe. Keywords: Netherlands, North Holland, outdoor spaces, sketch.
