Description
Communist Party Headquarters (Parti Communiste Francais) in Paris, France is designed by Oscar Niemeyer. The main purpose of this building is to provide offices, conference rooms, dining facilities, a library and parking space for central committee of French Communist Party. It also provides meeting rooms and auditorium seating 450 for central committee, visiting party members and journalists on special occasions. The main six-story block supported on ten pairs of columns carrying balanced cantilever floors(profiled to take services trunking down middle), and gathered at ground level on to five piers tied together by beam.
