Description
This building is located directly next to Interstate 70 East in the Brewery District in downtown Columbus. It demonstrates a slipping facade with two west facades that are designed to be shifted. The Brewery District, traditionally known as the Old German Brewing District, is located immediately south of Downtown Columbus and west of German Village. This location provides a variety of housing opportunities and unique shopping and entertainment opportunities for downtown workers. Established by German immigants in the early 1800's, the Brewery District was made up of many small, family-owned breweries that thrived for decades. Today, the Brewery District is primarily an entertainment district with renovated brewery buildings, restaurants, shops, and micro-breweries.
