Description
This was a student project by Myra Parsons-Jones, Treye Denton. and Tyler Young for Jane Murphy and Beth Blostein's course ARCH 7420 in Spring 2019.
This library's goal is to support the theme of a Plaza and unifying different people to a single environment. Plaza's consist of a large open space usually containing shops and places to sit. By creating a plaza in a library, we wanted to endorse an area for people to co-mingle and meet other people who may be visiting the library for a different reason. The spaces become eclectic whether you are there to read, study or waiting for a meeting. Today we live in a society that supports relationships across the world through the use of internet, and we wanted to create that very same relationship within being under the same roof.
