Description
The ancient empire of Assyria, along the Tigris River, alternately fought and allied itself with its neighbors in Babylon, Urartu, and Luristan. Assyria's gods, however, such as the winged genie pollinating the date palm, came mostly from the Babylonian religion. Keywords: Sculpture.
